NAACP's Grassroots Network
The NAACP Regional Offices are located in California, New York,
Michigan, Missouri, Georgia, Texas, and Maryland. Each regional
office serves as a mentor to states in that region. They provide
guidance with regard to the Association's policy, procedure and
civil rights agenda. Every local Unit chartered in a particular
state works closely with the State Conference arm of the NAACP.
The NAACP units can be found in any of the seven regions, each
with a staff of volunteers to address the needs of the community
and the membership. Currently, there are approximately 2,200 adult
branches and 1,700 youth and college chapters.
